Here is my playthrough
Hey! Thanks for the playthrough and video review! Really cool to see.
Quick question - in your video (especially in the beginning, e.g. when you launch the balls at 1:50ish), things are super-choppy/low framerate. Was this how the game was actually behaving for you, or just an artifact of the recording somehow? Definitely should be a lot smoother than the video! Also seems like this improved through-out the video, so curious to have more detail here.
Various thoughts and comments based on your playthrough:
You can also touch and drag the direction you want to fire. Both direct & slingshot will work. Like a lot of other things, I need to communicate this better.
I also definitely need to improve the splash screen/intro setup. For graphics in general, I definitely agree with you on all points made! I'm not an artist at all, and the plan is to replace all graphics with graphics made by someone who actually knows that they're doing.
Powerups also need to be made less confusing. Additionally, the reason why you had multiple available to activate was because you shot the powerup gems -- they essentially give you a free powerup activation. I hope to tie this in to the graphics update.
I also noticed some bugs that occured in your playthrough that I need to fix. For some reason, things don't always move as far down as they should when a level changes. That's what's causing the overlapping bricks you had in some cases. Didn't know about this, so that was helpful as well.
Nice to see that, even though things weren't explained super-well, you still understood things quite clearly :) Really cool seeing someone play my game. And also fun/nice to hear the satisfaction when getting balls lined up behind the bricks, or with all powerups active.
Thanks :)
The game had no slowdown. It must have been my recording software. I'm glad my playtest was helpful. I wish you success!
Thanks for the info and the reply :)
